These trauma sensitive movement classes are designed to support those looking to empower themselves around managing the physical and mental symptoms of anxiety and depression. The gentle sequences have been specifically chosen to promote self-regulation by connecting with the body, through breath. Moving slowly with awareness, we learn to meet our bodies and whatever circumstances we may find with kindness, self-compassion and non-judgment.

A mindful movement session is less about ‘getting somewhere’ and more about ‘being here’. Each moment is an opportunity to be present to what is happening in our bodies and in our minds. Sometimes our lives are not how we want them to be but, by turning our attention to our bodies as they are, we can slowly begin to transform our physical, mental and emotional health.

This dynamic meditative class is suitable for all body types and levels of experience. Everything is optional and you are encouraged to make choices that will help you to move towards comfort and ease, allowing for fuller participation in day to day life.

This six-week series of small group classes (6-12 people) would be well suited to anyone who is suffering from stress, physical pain, emotional pain (including depression and anxiety), injury, recent surgery, disability or struggling with self-esteem and body image.
